  Gambling laws in India The Public Gambling Act 1867 is the Gambling Law in India and is adopted for governing gambling in the country post adoption of the constitution in India. Entry 34 of the State List (i.e., List II of the Seventh Schedule) enlists Betting and gambling. The state legislature has the power to create its own laws pertaining to betting and gambling. Under Entry 62 of the State List, the state legislature has the attorney to make taxation laws on betting and gambling.
